The project at a glance
- Location: Seven Hills, Ohio
- Work: roof replacement, gutters and downspouts
- Roof: Owens Corning Duration shingles in Desert Rose
- Matching roof detail: Owens Corning ProEdge hip and ridge shingles
- Gutters: white 5-inch gutters on the house and garage, with 2-by-3-inch downspouts
A roof replacement with a coordinated material package
The roofing scope called for removal and replacement of the roof covering. Along with the Desert Rose shingles, the material order included matching ProEdge hip and ridge shingles, Owens Corning starter shingles, Resisto ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment, roof-edge metal, and ridge ventilation components. These details show why a roof estimate should describe more than the shingle color.
Gutters for the house and garage
The gutter scope included replacement gutters on both the house and garage in white. The specified system used 5-inch gutters and 2-by-3-inch downspouts. Including those details in the project scope makes it clear which buildings and exterior components are part of the work.
Completed in July 2026
Roof installation began on July 23, with roofing completion and the final inspection recorded on July 24. Gutter installation was also completed on July 24. That schedule reflects this particular project; the timing for another home depends on its scope, access, materials, and weather.
